Aspirations, becomes a reality...
The need to form a Chamber of Commerce that would promote trade, commerce and investment between Philippines and Nepal was proposed by Honourable Suraj Vaidya, Consul General of the Republic of the Philippines to all Filipinos living, working and doing business in Nepal.
His proposal was discussed to Filipino communities in Nepal, Filipino-born and now Naturalized Nepalese citizens and Nepalese nationals graduated from the Philippines.
In the last quarter of 2014, there were series of preliminary meetings held at Philippine Consulate General Office in Kathmandu to discuss details on how to form the Chambers.
On December 2014, Founding Board of Directors of Nepal Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry was officially formed.
The Nepal-Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NPCCI), was formally launched in ceremonies at the Philippine Honorary Consulate General Office in Kathmandu on Monday, 3 March 2015.
In attendance for the said inaugural were Consul General Suraj Vaidya and Commercial Counselor of Philippine Trade and Investment Centre, Mr. John Paul B. Iñigo who congratulated the officers and members of the NPCCI for their resolve to strengthen bilateral business ties between the Philippines and Nepal.
